Why are you not using the amp with all 4 tubes...

I bought the amp used off ebay and it only has 2 power tube slots with the actual tube interface installed. The other 2 slots have covers over them and not actual slots to plug additional tubes in. I would assume the amp is able to be retrofitted to add the additional slots. Look at the picture above. I had removed the 2 power tubes (on the left in the pic) and you can see the covers on the right.

If you have any insight on this amp, I'd love to hear it. It came with no docs, but sure sounds great and if I could make it sound better, I'm all ears.

I have a 50 watts CRS v2 and the chassis looks like yours. I think they use the same chassis for both 50 and 100 W amps, covering the unused tube holes in the 50 watts version.

Converting a 50W into a 100W would require some "major surgery" ;-)

You are exactly right, all of our chassis that come in 100 and 50 Watt versions have the extra power tube holes available. We don't retrofit the 50's to become 100's as it is just too costly. For the 50's we just cover the extra holes.

Mystery now cleared up. Your amp is 50 watt. with a low and high power switch, so just adjust each of the pots to read between .055 and .060 for both high and low power settings
