Dear [NAME],
The first days of summer are here and warming up nicely. For us here at Two-Rock, it was a rough start to the year with the loss of our dear friend Taku Sakashita. It was a tragedy to lose such an amazing artist and our thoughts and prayers have been with his family and widow throughout the past few months. On a positive note, we helped produce a concert to help Taku's wife and raised a significant amount of money to help her through these rough days ahead.
So, as we move forward into the summer, we have been working away tirelessly to bring our new products to the forefront of Two-Rock's long tradition of hand built boutique amps. In this issue of our newsletter, we will cover some of the new products that we are releasing and the reasons behind our decision to go in this new direction.
We hope that you have been enjoying this newsletter and we invite you to send us suggestions and comments that will help us to bring the information that is as important to you (the Two-Rock community) as you are to us.
Thank you for your contribution to the Two-Rock family!
2010 Amp Releases
We were in the process of designing a new amp when Taku Sakashta's life was taken tragically. He used to talk to Bill all the time about the "Tone Secret," so to honor this incredible man and world renowned luthier, we introduce the TS-1. This amp debuted live on May 23rd, 2010, with Robben Ford, Boz Scaggs, Volker Strifler, and Tuck & Patty at a benefit concert for the Sakashta foundation.
With exceptional cleans and articulate leads, this amp has been catching eyes left and right.
- 6L6 50 or 100 watt
- Vintage Power Supply
- Exceptional clean head room
- Open, Articulate Leads
- NPODS (No Post OD Tonestack)
- Available in Standard Black or Blond Tolex
- $5500 50 Watt / $6000 100 Watt

This 2 channel no frills amp has stellar crystal cleans and high gain lead tones, with a separate EQ on the front panel for lead and clean. Eric wanted an amp that was high gain and just the right amount of compression to make the notes sound like what a high gain player would want an amp to sound like. When he came to Northern California's studio, Prairie Sun, to record his new album for Shrapnel Records, he tried a few amps that Bill had been working on. One of the amps he took for a spin was the TS-1. You'll see those demos on our home page. The other was the prototype version of what is now the Eric Gales Signature.
